Board of Directors

Intercommunity Action, Inc. is governed by a group of volunteer Board of Directors, the majority of whom reside, work or own real property in Andorra, Roxborough, Manayunk, Wissahickon, East Falls, and parts of Nicetown, Germantown and West Mt. Airy.  Board Members must be committed to the mission, service goals and best interests of Interac and its clients, and must fulfill the obligations of Board Members set forth in the Corporation's By-laws and Articles of Incorporation.

Board Members serve a term of four years.  Persons interested in applying for Board Membership should apply for nomination to the Board Committee.  In addition to the other requirements delineated in the By-laws, potential Board Members are considered in light of their perceived ability to contribute to the growth and development of the Corporation.

The Board of Directors meets quarterly, usually at 6012 Ridge Avenue.  Board meetings are open to the public.  Much of the work of the Board is accomplished through its Committees; Aging Services; Behavioral Health Services; Developmental Disabilities Services; Executive Committee; Board Committee; Resource Development and Finance.  Board Members are required to join and participate on at least one of these committees.
